figures on paper
Black ink, pencil, or charcoal on paper, drawn from life. These are studies of live models who largely dictate how they want to be seen, captured quickly and without revision. The shaky line is a byproduct of the pace, a record of where the eye moved and what it caught in the moment. The incomplete is part of the finished work, not a limitation, but an invitation for the viewer to accept what is concretely there or let their imagination fill in the rest.
